ENVIRONMENTAL MISSION STATEMENT AND POLICY!
AQUILAS VISION OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Through our operation and policies, we aim to positively contribute to social coherence, to economic development, and to the preservation of the environment and cultural heritage wherever we operate and beyond. With this in mind, AQUILA has put across and adopted an integrated policy covering the totality of environmental themes related to its operation, including Energy, Fresh Water and Solid Waste Management, Air Quality, the Coastal and Marine Environment, as well as local Landscape and Nature.
AQUILA aims to minimise the impact of its activities on environmental resources by adopting efficient state-of-the-art technologies and resource management practices. In addition, it continuously invests in its human capital in order to effectively apply those practices in its day-to-day operation.
Furthermore, AQUILA aims to pave the way for the environmentally responsible operation of collaborating and competitor organisations alike, by setting the example wherever possible, as well as promoting its practices to the broader public. AQUILA is committed to the continuous improvement of its services and this includes its environment-related initiatives. Its environmental policy is subject to continuous development, in accordance with national and international standards, technological advances and improvement of managerial know-how.Visit our Eco Gallery

HIGH STANDARDS OF SEA AND BEACH CLEANLINESS
The INTERNATIONAL "Blue Flag", a symbol of quality in over 35 countries today, is awarded with strict criteria to organized beaches and marinas operated by coastal municipalities, hotels and other operators.
The program aims at cleanliness of sea and beach, safety and proper services for bathers and visitors, creation of environmental sensitivity and active protection of the coastal region.
All Aquila Resorts are being annually awarded with the blue flag proving that not only do they fulfill the strict criteria required to obtain the blue flag, but also their strong commitment regarding the overall environmental protection in the areas the hotels are located.
Award of the Aquila group with The Green Key
The reward with the Green Key requires the implementation of numerous ecological criteria of the program.
